With over 8 years of experience guiding hunting and fishing excursions worldwide, he combines his extensive knowledge with a deep love for the sport. Holding a degree in Conservation Management and Wildlife Entertainment from the University of Alabama, he is well-equipped to responsibly manage and safeguard wildlife for future generations. Captain Dustin is a record-holder in bowfishing and is fully committed to sharing this thrilling activity. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about various fish species. Despite missing several shots, he remained patient and gave helpful tips on adjusting our aim. He ensured we found plenty of fish and made the experience memorable for the whole family. The initial payment for this journey is not refundable unless the trip is canceled due to weather conditions. If you cancel on the day of the trip or fail to show up, the entire remaining amount will be charged to your card.
Please bring hand towels, rain gear, and any beverages (except water) in non-glass containers. Don’t forget your camera, a cap light, and any essentials you might need quickly. Fish cleaning services are available at $2 per fish.
All necessary equipment, licenses, and bottled water are included for your trip. You’ll be cruising on a spacious fan boat equipped with both an outboard motor and a trolling motor. The lighting system, powered by a quiet Honda 2000 battery-based generator, features over 5,000 watts of lights mounted on the front bow, illuminating the ocean floor as brightly as midday—even in just inches of water!
Common species you might encounter include stingrays, sheepshead, mullet, flounder, black drum, skipjack, cownose rays, butterfly rays, and many others. At night, the water comes alive with thousands of marine creatures, and guests typically fire between 100 and 200 shots during the trip. These excursions mainly take place around Orange Beach, where you may keep all caught fish; stingrays can be released if you prefer not to keep them.
Charters are also available in Gulf Shores, Perdido Key, Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre, Destin, and beyond. Trips usually start at sunset. Gigging involves using a long spear to catch fish, while bowfishing means shooting arrows equipped with reels attached to bows to retrieve your catch. Captain Dustin will guide you to achieve your personal best during this exciting 4-hour adventure.
Captain Dustin supplies all bows, gigs, licenses, and drinks, though you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages as well. Remember to bring a cooler with ice to store your day’s catch—Captain Dustin will make sure it’s well stocked!
