Born and raised in South Florida, I have proudly called the Florida Keys home since 1994. My journey as a fishing guide began at 21 in 1996, and for nearly 30 years, I have been passionate about leading anglers through the waters of Islamorada. I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the Florida Keys Fishing Guides Association. My connection to these waters runs deep, having fished alongside my father from the tender age of six in 1980. He was a dedicated shallow water fisherman who loved passing on his knowledge, fostering my lifelong dedication to the water.
My guiding style focuses heavily on sight fishing for snook and redfish, primarily using fly and light spinning tackle in shallow areas. Besides these popular species, I relish the chance to target tarpon, permit, bonefish, sharks, trout, triple tail, and snapper. The unique ecosystem here boasts a diverse range of game fish, making every trip a rewarding experience. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, all skill levels are warmly welcomed. I especially encourage women and children to come out and enjoy the adventure.
Aside from fishing, I have a keen interest in wildlife and nature photography, spending winters capturing stunning images of wading and shorebirds. The Roseate spoonbill is a particular favorite, thriving in the bustling bird populations that flock to the flats and backcountry during the cooler months.
My primary objective is to offer a relaxing, enjoyable, and unforgettable day on the water. I invite you to join me for an exceptional fishing experience, with flexible starting locations to suit your needs.
Clients often share their enthusiasm for the trips, praising the knowledgeable and friendly atmosphere. Many appreciate the effort put into locating fish even under challenging conditions, making for memorable outings. Whether you’re fishing alongside children or new anglers, I strive to provide patience, expertise, and a welcoming attitude, creating lasting connections and fun times on the water.
During our trips, it's common to encounter fascinating wildlife, including manatees, dolphins, flamingos, and a variety of birds, enriching the overall adventure. Fly fishing aficionados will enjoy a personalized and supportive approach, helping improve casting techniques and skills while being immersed in the beautiful surroundings and abundant sea life.
With a commitment to informative, enjoyable, and safe fishing experiences, I take pride in sharing my extensive knowledge of local fish habits, environmental concerns, and conservation efforts facing the Keys. My guests consistently remark on the comfortable boats, the friendly vibe, and the all-around expertise that makes each trip special.
Whether seeking action-packed fishing or a peaceful day on the water surrounded by nature's wonders, I look forward to guiding you through the incredible waters and wildlife of the Florida Keys. Come fish with me for an authentic and fulfilling Keys adventure!

We provide all rods, reels, and tackle for the trip. However, we suggest you also bring sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suited for the weather, and any personal gear you prefer to use.
This trip is primarily a springtime adventure, though tarpon can be found throughout the year depending on weather conditions. During the spring migration, thousands of medium to large tarpon, averaging around 100 pounds, arrive in our area, attracted by the mullet run. You’ll have the opportunity to fish on the oceanside, targeting these migrating tarpon, or explore the backcountry where you can find tarpon either resting or actively swimming.
Feel free to reach out with any questions about these trips—I’d be happy to help customize your experience to fit your schedule in the Keys.
