With more than 26 years in the charter fishing industry, Captain Bryan brings a wealth of expertise to every trip. A native of Lawrence County, Alabama, he developed his fishing skills early on, competing semi-professionally in bass fishing and working as a smallmouth guide on the Tennessee River chain. In 1995, when his family relocated to Gulf Shores, Alabama, they invested in a charter boat, and Bryan began working as a deckhand during summer seasons. He continued in this role throughout his high school and college years.
After finishing college, Captain Bryan chose to turn his passion for fishing into a full-time career and earned his captain’s license in 2007. His areas of expertise include Grouper fishing, light tackle techniques for various saltwater species, Red Snapper, and Amberjack fishing.
Our experience was exceptional! Captain Bryan and his first mate ensured we were comfortable and helped us find fish quickly. They even modified the trip to accommodate our son, who had some sea sickness, demonstrating their care and professionalism. Despite challenging currents and tough fishing conditions, we managed to catch a variety of fish including vermillion snapper, Spanish mackerel, black snapper, and amberjacks. Captain Bryan truly delivered an unforgettable adventure for everyone on board, ensuring the fun kept going all trip long. We caught many fish, and although we had to release amberjack and red snapper due to season restrictions, the experience was still memorable, especially with some tasty triggerfish to take home. You can cancel your reservation without any charges if done at least 7 days prior to your trip and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within the 7-day period leading up to the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and retained by the guide. Cancelling on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being billed to your payment method.

This boat is specially designed with families in mind, offering exceptional one-on-one attention from both Captain Bryan and the First Mate. They will actively engage with you and your children to ensure the entire family enjoys every moment.
The boat’s unique design features three helm stations where Captain Bryan can steer: an indoor cabin helm for the trip out, a tower helm for spotting surface activity, and a back deck helm that allows him to stay close to guests while fishing. This setup allows Captain Bryan to remain near you and your children throughout the journey, making it easier to provide support and keep the kids involved and entertained during the trip. Additionally, the First Mate is always onboard to assist and enhance your experience.

Ideal for Families and First-Time Anglers
This trip is perfect for families with young children who have never been out on the water before. The fishing grounds are close to shore, so you won’t have to venture far. Shortly after leaving the pass, multiple lines will be set for trolling at a gentle pace, targeting King Mackerel (Kingfish) and Spanish Mackerel.
Once we arrive at the reef zone, we’ll anchor to drop lines for bottom fishing. The 4-hour trip focuses on fun and active fishing for Red Snapper and Triggerfish, with the occasional chance to catch a shark. While this is our shortest bottom fishing trip and doesn’t travel far offshore (about 5-9 miles), there’s still plenty of action close to shore. Keep in mind, this trip is more about excitement than landing trophy-sized fish, making it an excellent choice for beginners and kids eager to experience the thrill of bottom fishing.
We usually fish with ultralight tackle on these short trips, which adds to the excitement when reeling in keeper-sized fish. Heavier gear is available upon request.
