With nearly three decades of experience, Capt. Dave is a seasoned local guide offering a variety of inshore fishing excursions tailored for anglers eager for an active fishing adventure. Embark on a trip aboard his custom 2025, 20' Alloy Plate side console bay boat as you fish the sheltered river and salt marshes surrounding Jacksonville, Florida. Each trip lasts up to 6 hours and accommodates a maximum of 2 people. (Children must be at least 10 years old to participate.) Some fish species in Northeast Florida are available only seasonally, while others can be caught year-round. Tides play a crucial role in planning your outing, so it’s advisable to discuss the details of your charter with Capt. Dave beforehand.
Being agile and comfortable with handling fishing gear will greatly enhance your experience. Techniques commonly used include casting with spinning tackle and baitcasting with live shrimp as bait. To ensure a successful day on the water, dress appropriately with sneakers, a wide-brimmed hat, polarized sunglasses, and sun-protective clothing.

You can cancel your booking without any charges up to three days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within three days of the trip, the deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in a full charge to your card for the total cost of the trip.

Coolers: Please do NOT bring coolers aboard the boat. Coolers and ice will be provided for your convenience.
Drinks & Snacks: Bring your drinks (no glass containers) and snacks packed in a plastic bag. Remember, no coolers allowed.
Included Equipment: Rods, reels, bait, licensing, ice, cooler, and tackle are all provided.
Attire: Wear appropriate clothing for water activities and weather conditions. Avoid open-toe shoes and heels. Rubber-soled sneakers are recommended. Work boots with aggressive treads are not allowed.
Fish Cleaning & Bagging: Offered on a cash gratuity basis once your trip is complete and the boats are on the trailer.
Storage: Storage space on the boats is limited. Please do NOT bring bags with unnecessary items.
Prohibited Items: No glass containers, duffle bags, backpacks, or personal fishing tackle and tackle boxes are permitted.

Explore the diverse waters of Jacksonville, including the St. Johns River, Intracoastal Waterway, saltmarshes, and inlet. Experience light tackle fishing using spinning reels with live bait, artificial lures, or slip-float techniques. This trip operates year-round, seven days a week, targeting species such as Redfish, Sea Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, and Flounder.
As the angler, you take the lead while Captain Dave serves as your coach, guide, and local historian—he helps but doesn’t fish for you. You'll need to be able to stand, move around the boat, and stay active throughout the excursion. Similar to golfing, this style of fishing is hands-on and requires mobility rather than sitting idle in a chair.
We use light-action spinning rods and reels for casting jigs, and baitcasting gear for bottom fishing and the traditional Northeast Florida slip-float method. The boat features both front and rear casting decks and is equipped with a top-quality trolling motor to hold position or drift slowly along marsh grass and oyster beds. You will fish around docks, underwater edges, ledges, and other structures.
Tides play a crucial role here in Northeast Florida; your fishing experience will align with tidal movements. The emphasis is on calm waters, so seasickness medication is typically unnecessary.
Essential Gear: Wear comfortable, grippy sneakers (no open-toed shoes), bring a hat, and polarized sunglasses. Dress appropriately for the weather to ensure a comfortable experience.
Alcohol consumption is prohibited during the charter—save celebrations for after we return to the dock, as insurance policies do not allow alcohol on board.
Fish cleaning and packaging will be done once the charter concludes and the boat is on the trailer, available for gratuity.
Please do not bring coolers onto the boat. Any food and drinks should be packed in plastic bags to be stored in provided coolers—no glass containers allowed.
Important: Expect a call from Captain Dave the day before your trip between 4–6 PM. This call will confirm final details and allow you to handle your payment balance. A credit card processing fee of 3.75% applies, or you may choose to pay the balance in cash.
