About Your Guide

Captain Frank grew up immersed in the fishing world, being the son of a tugboat captain and starting his fishing journey as soon as he could handle a rod. His early years were spent angling in freshwater, and by the age of 10, he had made the switch to saltwater fishing. Shortly after finishing law school, he purchased his first fishing boat and quickly became a prominent figure in Kingfishing Tournaments throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.

For a decade, Captain Frank focused on fishing in the waters around St. Augustine and the Bahamas, targeting prized species like Wahoo and Marlin. In 1999, he shifted his attention to inshore fishing, specializing in Redfish, Tarpon, Permit, and Bonefish. He delights in sharing the thrill of fishing with others and introducing them to the rich and diverse marine life found along northeast Florida’s coastline. Beyond fishing techniques, he educates his guests on the local ecosystem, drawing attention to the smaller details of nature that make the environment so unique and beautiful.

With nearly 25 years of experience leading guided fishing excursions, Captain Frank is well-versed in multiple fishing styles—from offshore deep-sea adventures to more intimate inshore and shallow water trips. Currently captaining a 24-foot Pursuit vessel, he offers trips that explore rivers, beachfront surf, and nearshore reefs, providing versatile and exciting fishing opportunities.

Whether you seek the excitement of river and creek fishing or want to venture “beyond the rocks” into the Atlantic’s nearshore waters, Captain Frank’s expertise, equipment, and enthusiasm are all dedicated to helping you realize your fishing goals.

Guests frequently praise Captain Frank for his extensive knowledge of the area and his ability to create memorable and rewarding fishing experiences. Many appreciate his encouragement and helpfulness, especially when landing large catches. Customers often express their eagerness to return for more trips with him.

Visitors remark on Captain Frank's friendly demeanor, professionalism, and the comfortable, welcoming atmosphere he fosters on board. Even on challenging fishing days or during hot weather, he maintains a positive attitude, ensuring that every trip is both enjoyable and educational.

His spacious and well-equipped boat is perfect for families and groups, accommodating various fishing preferences and skill levels. From beginners catching their first fish to seasoned anglers pursuing specific species like sheepshead and speckled trout, Captain Frank adapts his guidance to suit every guest.

Despite occasional weather challenges, Captain Frank remains upbeat and dedicated to making every outing a success, leaving clients with lasting memories and a desire to fish with him again. His personable nature and expert knowledge make him a trusted guide for anyone looking to explore northeast Florida’s fantastic fishing opportunities.
