About Your Guide

Having spent my entire life in Northeast Florida, embracing the salty lifestyle has always been second nature to me. Our days were filled with surfing at the beach, and if the waves weren’t cooperating, we would load up and head out fishing. Even before I owned my own boat, I eagerly jumped on any ride I could find to chase a good bite. On other days, we’d hop in the truck, go fishing for dinner, and share some great times together. Your guide offers flexibility when it comes to where you start your adventure. Recently, I enjoyed an incredible outing, catching some exciting fish and creating unforgettable moments with my daughter and grandson. What more could one hope for?

Our experience on the water with Captain Jeremy was absolutely fantastic. He’s not only knowledgeable and professional but also personable and approachable. From gathering baitfish to landing our catch for dinner, the fun never stopped. I wholeheartedly recommend him and this trip without hesitation! Every aspect of the trip with Captain Jeremy was flawless, providing complete peace of mind when entrusting him with your loved ones. We celebrated my son’s 18th birthday on a charter that was nothing short of exceptional. The boys had an amazing time, and the Captain ensured everything was both safe and enjoyable.

Fishing in the offshore waters of Northeast Florida offers truly world-class opportunities, with a wide variety of options depending on the season and water temperatures. Our approach is generally divided into two main categories: trolling and bottom fishing.

For trolling, we typically favor using live bait along with 30 lb conventional tackle. Our targets include king mackerel, cobia, bonita, barracuda, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and even blackfin tuna on occasion. The specific species we encounter largely depends on the time of year and prevailing conditions. Most mornings begin by casting a net to catch live bait or stopping over structures to jig for minnows using a sabiki rig. Once the baitwells are stocked, we head out to the fishing spots, which can range from just a few miles offshore to as far as 10-12 miles, depending on where the fish have been biting.

Bottom fishing off the coast can be equally productive, offering chances to catch red snapper, vermilion snapper, black sea bass, amberjack, gray grouper, cobia, and triggerfish, among others. Live bait is highly effective near the bottom, while fresh cut bait and frozen options also work well. The intense pull of a large mule snapper or a hefty amberjack is difficult to describe—it's a fight every angler should experience firsthand. For these species, we rely on heavy conventional tackle rated at 80 lb as well as sturdy big spinning rods designed for handling the strong pulls common in these waters.
