About Your Guide

Captain Frank grew up in a fishing family, his father being a tugboat captain, and he has been passionate about fishing since he was young. He started with freshwater fishing during his early years and shifted to saltwater angling around the age of ten. Shortly after earning his law degree, he purchased his first fishing boat and quickly made a name for himself by competing successfully in Kingfishing Tournaments throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.

For a decade, Captain Frank pursued game fish such as Wahoo and Marlin in the St. Augustine and Bahamas waters before pivoting in 1999 to inshore fishing. Since then, he has focused on species like Redfish, Tarpon, Permit, and Bonefish. He takes great pride in sharing his love for fishing and the diverse marine ecosystem of northeast Florida with others, educating them not just on the sport but also on the intricate natural beauty found in the small details of the environment.

With nearly 25 years of guiding experience, Captain Frank offers a wide range of fishing adventures—from deep sea expeditions offshore to shallow water outings in creeks and rivers. Currently, he operates a 24-foot Pursuit, providing clients with unique excursions that explore everything from inland waterways and beachfront surf to nearshore reef habitats.

Whether you want to explore northeast Florida’s rivers and tidal creeks or venture “outside the rocks” into the Atlantic’s nearshore waters, Captain Frank and his well-equipped 24-foot boat have the knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm to help fulfill your fishing aspirations. He is flexible with trip starting locations to accommodate your needs.

Customers consistently praise Captain Frank for his expertise and friendly nature. Many recount memorable fishing experiences, noting his encouragement, patience, and ability to teach fishing techniques as well as local ecology. Guests have appreciated his calm demeanor and the comfortable, spacious boat that enhances every trip. Regardless of weather or fishing conditions, Captain Frank maintains a positive attitude, ensuring every outing is both enjoyable and informative.

Anglers of all experience levels have returned eager to fish again, impressed by how quickly Captain Frank helps newcomers learn and by the fun atmosphere he creates. Whether it’s landing a prized sheepshead or chasing speckled trout, clients trust him as a dedicated guide who makes the entire fishing day one to remember.

Embark on an exciting nearshore fishing adventure from Jacksonville with Captain Frank, targeting the thrilling Atlantic King Mackerel. Ideal for groups of three anglers, the trip can accommodate up to four if needed, using light tackle that ensures both a challenging catch and excellent eating.

Captain Frank’s 24-foot Pathfinder is equipped with a custom T-top and ample comfortable seating, offering a smooth ride in favorable nearshore conditions.
