About Your Guide

Having grown up in Northeast Florida, embracing the salty lifestyle has always been a part of who I am. Our days were spent at the beach catching waves, and when the surf wasn’t up, we’d pack our gear for a fishing adventure. Even before I owned my own boat, I was eager to hop on any ride I could find just to get out on the water and catch some fish. If fishing wasn’t on the agenda, we’d head out in the truck aiming to bring home fresh fish for dinner and enjoy some quality time together.

The guide is accommodating and can start your trip from various locations. We had an incredible experience, landed some exciting fish, and created unforgettable memories with my daughter and grandson. It truly doesn’t get any better than that!

Our time on the water with Captain Jeremy was outstanding. He is knowledgeable, approachable, and demonstrates great professionalism. From snagging baitfish to catching our evening meal, the whole outing was pure enjoyment. I wholeheartedly recommend both Captain Jeremy and this experience—definitely a 10 out of 10!

Everything about our trip with Captain Jeremy was flawless. You can feel confident entrusting him with your loved ones. We celebrated my son’s 18th birthday with a charter that was both safe and filled with fun. The guys had an amazing time, and the Captain ensured everything ran smoothly.

Fishing the offshore waters of Northeast Florida offers an exceptional experience, with numerous opportunities available depending on the season and water temperature. We generally divide our approach into two main methods: trolling and bottom fishing.

For trolling, we favor live bait paired with 30 lb. conventional tackle. Our typical targets include king mackerel, cobia, bonita, barracuda, sailfish, mahi, and occasionally blackfin tuna. The species and success depend largely on the conditions and time of year. Our day usually begins by casting a net to gather live bait or stopping near a structure to jig up minnows using a Sabiki rig. Once the baitwells are stocked, we head to the fishing grounds, which can be just a few miles offshore or up to 10-12 miles, depending on where the best bite is happening.

Bottom fishing off the coast is also highly productive, with species like red snapper, vermillion snapper, black seabass, amberjack, gag grouper, cobia, and triggerfish frequently caught. Live bait works very well on the bottom, alongside fresh cut bait and frozen bait. Experiencing the powerful fight of a mule snapper or a large amberjack is truly unforgettable. For this kind of fishing, we rely on heavy conventional tackle rated at 80 lb. as well as sturdy spinning rods designed for battling the strong fish found in these waters.
