Jonathan was professional, well-informed, and very friendly. He also took great care of my 8-year-old son. We caught a trout on our very first cast. After reaching our trout limit, we spent the rest of the time searching for redfish and black drum. He never gave up and truly went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. Jonathan patiently explained things multiple times when the kids needed extra help understanding. I would strongly recommend him to anyone interested in fishing in the Port Isabel and South Padre Island regions.
Although Jonathan sold his boat and had to cancel our trip the day before, he arranged for a replacement guide, Capt. AJ, who did an excellent job. I would happily fish with Capt. AJ again.
You can cancel your booking at no cost if done at least 7 days prior to your trip and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 7 days of your trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and paid to the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or if you do not show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
We provide all rods, reels, and tackle; however, we suggest you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suitable for the weather, and any personal gear you'd like to use during the trip.

You'll set off aboard Captain Jonathan’s 25-foot Torrent Cat 5 bay boat, a sleek and speedy vessel that comfortably accommodates up to six guests. Powered by a 200-HP Suzuki engine, it ensures you reach prime fishing spots quickly. The boat is equipped with a live well to keep your bait fresh and includes standard electronic gear to enhance your fishing experience.
All rods, reels, bait, and tackle are provided by Captain Jonathan. Just remember to bring your Texas fishing license, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing, and you'll be ready for a great day on the water!
