My journey in offshore fishing began in South Padre back in 1986. I started out as a deckhand, gradually gaining the skills and knowledge needed to become a captain by 1990. For 17 years, I captained an offshore boat for Jims Pier before embarking on my own venture in 2001. Owning and managing boats has provided me with extensive insights into the proper care and upkeep necessary to ensure safe and enjoyable fishing trips every time. Through years of fishing professionally, I’ve learned that thorough preparation is essential for a successful day on the water.
On my charters, I operate the vessel with one crew member who assists clients by answering questions and handling the back deck operations. We always aim to make the experience fun and accessible for all skill levels. For example, a family of six (three teenagers and three adults) once joined us for a six-hour deep sea fishing adventure. Despite having no prior experience and some mild seasickness among the group, Todd and Fernando ensured everyone felt comfortable and engaged. Todd expertly navigated to prime fishing spots, moving on quickly if a location wasn’t productive, while Fernando was incredibly helpful and patient, handling baiting and fish cleaning so guests could focus on learning and enjoying the day. We even provide amenities such as a bathroom and an air-conditioned cabin for added comfort.
Many guests return because of the great time they have on board. With extensive knowledge and passion for fishing, Captain Todd offers an exciting and informative trip. One repeat customer noted that even in rougher conditions where the catch was limited, Todd’s expertise and top-quality equipment made the outing worthwhile. They expressed eagerness to book another trip when calmer waters return. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience with our team.

Many visitors bring a cooler to store their food and beverages. It is advisable to apply sunscreen. Additionally, you are required to possess at least a one-day all-water fishing license, which can be purchased online or at local bait shops through Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Enjoy a half-day fishing trip featuring two main techniques: trolling and bottom fishing. Trolling involves surface fishing for species like King and Spanish Mackerel. Your deckhand will manage "The Spread," deploying up to seven lines behind the boat. When a fish strikes, you'll hear the deckhand shout "Left" or "Right," directing you to the appropriate fighting chair to reel in your catch.
Bottom fishing is performed either while drifting or anchored. The deckhand will guide you on the correct method to set the hook and reel in your trophy fish. This technique offers a chance to catch various species, including the highly sought-after Red Snapper during its season.
