My journey into offshore fishing began in South Padre back in 1986. I started out as a deckhand to build the skills necessary to become a captain by 1990. For 17 years, I captained an offshore vessel for Jim's Pier before deciding to start my own business in 2001. Owning and maintaining boats has given me extensive insight into what it takes to keep a vessel in top condition, ensuring safe and successful fishing outings every time. Through years of fishing professionally, I've learned that thorough preparation is essential for an enjoyable and fruitful trip.
On our trips, I work with one knowledgeable crewmember who assists clients, answers questions, and manages the back deck operations efficiently. The experience is always fun and engaging — many guests have said they would book a trip again without hesitation. We know the best fishing spots and are dedicated to helping even first-timers learn the ropes and fish confidently.
One memorable trip was with a family of six, including three teenagers and three adults, who joined me and my mate, Fernando, for a six-hour deep sea adventure. Even though most of them were beginners and some experienced seasickness, Fernando and I made sure everyone was comfortable and well-guided throughout. My mate was incredibly hardworking, taking care of baiting hooks and handling catches so the guests could relax and enjoy the experience. He patiently walked them through the process of using the reels and helped everyone feel involved without any stress.
We also ensure there are conveniences like a restroom and an air-conditioned area onboard, making the trip comfortable for everyone. Many visitors highlight what a great time they had fishing with us. They appreciate our deep knowledge and ability to navigate to the best fishing spots. Todd's experience as captain, combined with Fernando's excellent support, creates a fun and rewarding outing for all participants.
Even when conditions are challenging, such as rough seas, we do our best to provide a positive experience and strive to find the best spots to maximize the catch. We take pride in having top-quality equipment to enhance every trip. Guests often come back again and again, confident that with us, they're in skilled and reliable hands for their fishing adventures.

An 8-hour fishing expedition from South Padre Island offers the perfect opportunity to experience the vastness of the Gulf. With ample time available, you can venture far offshore, explore new waters, and settle into a steady pace throughout the day. Begin by trolling across open stretches searching for quick-moving surface fish, then gradually transition to slower fishing over underwater structures to target bottom dwellers.
This trip provides the freedom to adapt your fishing approach as the day progresses. You might find kings patrolling the spread, snapper lurking in deeper areas, or even a surprise encounter with a cobia circling a buoy or following a rig. Having both the range and hours at your disposal allows you to pursue these exciting opportunities.
Designed for anglers seeking more than a brief outing, this offshore experience offers plenty of space to cast, the time to change strategies, and sufficient daylight to let the Gulf reveal its secrets. Get ready to create unforgettable moments out on the water.
