Captain Jimmy is a lifelong resident of the Bayous of St. Bernard, Louisiana, coming from a long line of fishermen. Today, he proudly serves as a charter fishing guide, specializing in Redfish, Speckled Trout, and an array of other species. Starting his guiding career at just 18 years old, Captain Jimmy has earned a solid reputation over more than ten years of experience. He has a special passion for working with families and introducing kids to the joys of fishing. As he often says, "nothing compares to the joy on a child's face when they land their first fish."
With deep respect for both the environment and local wildlife, Captain Jimmy is dedicated to conserving Louisiana’s wetlands for the benefit of future anglers. He firmly believes that the best way to educate young people is by taking them fishing—allowing them to appreciate the distinctiveness of this fishery firsthand. Teaching proper fishing techniques and emphasizing the beauty of nature are important parts of his mission.
Your fishing adventure will take you inshore, using light tackle to target Redfish and Speckled Trout, as well as Black Drum, Flounder, and Sheepshead. Captain Jimmy primarily fishes with live shrimp under a popping cork for the best results. Your trip will be aboard a 24-foot Blazer Bay, a stable and reliable boat powered by a single 300 HP Yamaha V6 4.2 engine, comfortably accommodating up to four anglers. The boat is fully equipped with modern navigation and fish-finding technology, safety gear, a live well stocked with bait, and a wireless trolling motor ideal for sneak attacks on tailing Reds.
All trips include high-quality Penn tackle, bait, lures, and complimentary cleaning of your catch. You’ll also receive snacks, refreshments, and lunch during your outing. Please remember that Louisiana saltwater fishing licenses must be obtained prior to your trip. Beyond that, simply dress for the weather and get ready for an unforgettable day on the water.

If you cancel within 7 days before the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being billed to your card.
