About Your Guide

Southeast Louisiana, especially the New Orleans region, is renowned for offering world-class fishing, and Captain Mike is dedicated to making the most of every opportunity out on the water. For him, fishing is not just a profession—it’s a deep passion and a way of life. Born and raised in New Orleans, Captain Mike grew up immersed in the rich fishing culture of Louisiana’s inshore and offshore waters. With experience fishing in both saltwater and freshwater across the country, he firmly believes that nothing compares to the pristine waters and marshlands of this Sportsman’s Paradise.

During the winter months, Captain Mike guides waterfowl hunters in Arkansas, known as the duck capital of the world, while spring, summer, and fall are spent targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Snapper, Black Drum, and more in Louisiana’s abundant waters. His operation is family-friendly and focuses on ensuring everyone—whether friends, family, or clients—has a safe, enjoyable, and rewarding fishing adventure.

As a proud father of three daughters, Captain Mike is especially passionate about introducing more women and children to outdoor sports like fishing and hunting, making these experiences fun and welcoming for all ages.

On our trip, Captain Mike’s expertise shone through. Despite one of our group feeling seasick, his kindness and patience helped her get through it comfortably, with the thoughtful addition of a small onboard restroom for ladies’ convenience. We reached our red snapper limits before 10 a.m., then enjoyed catching trout and redfish. We also encountered a variety of fascinating creatures like sharks, small swimmer fish, angel fish, and drum, several of which we released back into the water. It was an unforgettable adventure!

Captain Mike worked hard to find fish despite challenging 25 mph winds. He was incredibly patient with my 5- and 10-year-old kids, helping them both catch fish while I fished alongside them. The boat offered a smooth, comfortable ride, complete with great music, adding to the overall enjoyment. Thanks to Captain Mike, my boys’ first time on the water was truly special, and we look forward to fishing with him again!
