You can cancel without any charges if you do so at least 14 days prior to your trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 14 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your card.
All necessary gear will be provided; however, we suggest you also bring sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suitable for the weather, and any additional items you may want during the trip.
Experience thrilling yet approachable offshore fishing with our 4, 5, or 6-hour charters in Alabama and Florida state waters, staying within nine miles of the shore. These private charters are perfect for beginners or those who prefer to remain closer to land. Typically venturing up to nine nautical miles offshore, you’ll rarely be completely out of sight of the coastline. Ideal for adults and vacationing families with children around fourteen years and older, or those accustomed to boat fishing, these state waters charters provide a great fishing adventure.
Offered year-round, our family-friendly Florida and Alabama offshore charters combine trolling and bottom fishing techniques to target a variety of fish species. Fishing locations and strategies vary throughout the year depending on seasonal patterns, fish activity, and the composition of your group.
Departing from Orange Beach aboard our versatile 25-foot Sea Hunt, trips begin with an exciting ride offshore where you may spot sea turtles, dolphins, and schools of feeding fish. If surface fish are seen en route, we often adjust our course to engage in casting or trolling within these schools. Absent any significant sightings, we head directly to prime reef fishing locations where bottom fishing becomes the focus. While we primarily target in-season species for harvest, you can expect to encounter a diverse array of impressive offshore fish.
Springtime offshore fishing is particularly rewarding. Species such as Gray Triggerfish and Red Snapper often bite well during March and April. Although these are generally not legal to keep in spring, they offer great catch-and-release opportunities along with fantastic photo moments. For those interested in retaining fish for dinner, we focus on the small yet flavorful Vermilion Snapper. During spring, you may also encounter migratory pelagic species such as Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and the rare but highly prized Cobia. Mackerel are commonly caught by trolling, jigging, or free-lining live shrimp. Cobia fishing demands patience and luck, but catching one is a rewarding and memorable highlight—they are unique, delicious, and incredibly strong, making them the ultimate springtime offshore prize.
Summer and fall mark the peak of our Orange Beach offshore fishing season and coincide with the opening of the highly anticipated Red Snapper harvest season. In Alabama state waters, the Red Snapper season typically begins in early June and is usually limited to weekends. While Red Snapper remain the main target, these months also bring opportunities to catch Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, and even sharks, providing an exciting and diverse fishing experience.
