Outstanding experience! Captain Brooks and his first mate John went above and beyond. Although the weather was less than ideal with two rain showers—something beyond their control—the captain actively reached out to find better fishing spots, though none were available. This trip wasn’t a typical shark fishing excursion; it was more like jug lining for catfish but aimed at sharks. We set baited buoys and circled them while trolling with lures until a catch occurred. Only one sand shark was caught, but it was a protected species and had to be released. Had I known the nature of the fishing technique beforehand, I might have opted for a more affordable outing. Also, the mandatory 20% tip for the deckhand raised the total cost from $1,000 to $1,200. The captain and deckhand were friendly and seemed genuine, but this trip didn’t align with our expectations for shark fishing.

Unfortunately, our experience fell short of what we expected and planned for. The adventure advertised did not match what we encountered. We did not fish for the species listed, and the boat was not prepared when we arrived. Although we paid to extend the trip by two hours, most of that time was consumed by travel and waiting, rather than fishing. Overall, this was not a satisfying outing for either adults or children, especially given the high cost. While I was hesitant to leave a negative review, I want to caution others that this trip was expensive for the results we received.
