Costa Rica stands out as a premier destination for billfishing worldwide, with the central Pacific town of Quepos serving as the heart of this thriving fishery. Nestled next to Manuel Antonio National Park, Quepos is the perfect spot for anglers aiming to catch a variety of species including Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), and Yellowfin Tuna.

Captain Eric is your gateway to experiencing the exceptional fishing opportunities unique to Quepos. Join him and his crew aboard their meticulously maintained 40-foot Luhrs, a vessel built to endure the challenges of chasing Blue Marlin while offering the comfort and quality expected from a top-tier fishing charter.

During the prime fishing season from January through April, anglers can expect to release numerous Sailfish in a single trip, typically venturing just 10 to 20 miles from the marina. From May to November, the excitement intensifies as clients have the chance to pursue the elusive Billfish Grand Slam, which includes Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, and Sailfish. Prime locations like Furuno Bank, just 30 miles from the harbor, provide access to Blue and Black Marlin.

Beyond world-class billfish, Captain Eric offers opportunities to catch an array of thrilling and delicious species such as Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Grouper, Snappers, among others.

All trips come fully equipped with fishing gear, bait, tackle, snacks, and beverages, including beer, as well as plenty of ice to keep your catch and refreshments cold. Be sure to bring your Costa Rica fishing license, and prepare for the elements with sun protection like sunscreen, hats, polarized sunglasses, and long-sleeved shirts. Rain gear is also advisable. To help keep the boat’s deck in pristine condition, please avoid wearing shoes with dark soles.
