Boasting more than three decades of experience as a fishing guide, he is a genuine expert in flats fishing and intimately familiar with these local waters. Whether you're teaching your children to catch their very first fish or refining your skills with artificial lures, Captain Lloyd offers patience, expert knowledge, and a heartfelt commitment to instruction. Anglers of every age and ability level are invited to join him, with each excursion customized to meet your personal objectives, using either live bait or artificials depending on what the fish are responding to. You’ll explore inshore areas, shallow flats, and the twisting backcountry of South Padre Island, targeting species like redfish, speckled trout, and others. The initial payment for this excursion cannot be refunded unless the trip is canceled due to weather conditions. If you cancel on the day of the trip or fail to show up, the total remaining cost will be charged to your payment method.

Your fishing experience takes place aboard Captain Lloyd’s 20' Dargel Skout. With previous experience working for Dargel Boats, Captain Lloyd knows this boat inside and out. It’s perfectly suited for cruising the bay, with a shallow draft that lets you access inshore waters and flats where big fish are often found.
All gear is provided by Captain Lloyd, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. Your only job is to bring sunscreen, your Texas Fishing License, and weather-appropriate clothing. Get ready for an exciting day on the water!
