Experience the thrill of chasing Tarpon in the Florida Keys, an adventure packed with excitement from start to finish. Guided by Captain John, a highly skilled and knowledgeable Marathon fishing expert, your trip is customized to suit anglers of all levels. Whether you’re new to fishing or a seasoned pro, Captain John guarantees a Marathon fishing trip you’ll never forget.
Set out with Captain John and challenge yourself against Florida’s top inshore sportfish, the Tarpon. Famously known as the "Silver Kings," these fish are celebrated worldwide for their power, endurance, and stunning appearance, offering a true test of angling skill. From June through July, these remarkable fish migrate along the coast, actively searching for food. Tarpon behavior is influenced by tides, weather, and lunar cycles, but during spring and early summer, they are reliably hungry and respond to both live and artificial baits.
Your adventure takes place aboard Captain John’s 25-foot SeaVee center console, equipped with a powerful 300-HP Suzuki outboard engine that quickly gets you to prime fishing spots. The boat is outfitted with all the essentials for a comfortable and productive day on the water, including GPS, a fishfinder, live well, cooler, and a t-top that provides shade from the sun.
Captain John supplies all necessary gear—just bring appropriate clothing, sun protection, and polarized sunglasses to help spot the fish below the surface. All Tarpon fishing trips follow catch-and-release practices, so don’t forget your camera to capture the moment when you hook your trophy.
