Captain Cody's passion for fishing was sparked during his childhood days spent on the water with his grandfather. What began as an occasional pastime quickly grew into a deep-seated enthusiasm, gradually capturing more of his attention and free time. Raised fishing across the waters stretching from Sarasota Bay to Tampa Bay, Captain Cody invested in a brand-new boat just two years ago. With his vessel and captain’s license in hand, he was eager to pass along his extensive fishing expertise to those eager to learn.
His love for fishing goes beyond just his own experience—Captain Cody truly enjoys witnessing the excitement on people’s faces when they reel in their very first catch, sharing in their joy every step of the way.
My experience with Cody was outstanding. I have two teenage daughters, and he showed great patience and support throughout the trip. In just 3.5 hours, we managed to catch over 80 fish, including Sea Trout, Ladyfish, Catfish, Jack Fish, Spanish Mackerel, and Flounder. It was an unforgettable adventure! When we visit Sarasota again, we’ll definitely be reaching out to Cody for another fishing excursion.
You can cancel at no cost if you do so at least 7 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within the 7 days leading up to the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or if you fail to show up will result in the full trip price being charged to your card.
All necessary gear will be provided, however, we suggest you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any personal equipment you wish to use during the trip.

You and your family will set sail on Capt. Cody’s Mako, a 21-foot boat designed perfectly for battling and landing these magnificent creatures. Plus, to help you cool down after an epic struggle, we’ll have ice-cold water readily available.
