About Your Guide

Hello there! Allow me to introduce myself — I’m a devoted enthusiast of all things loud and proud! 🤘 Whoop! I hold a degree in Wildlife Biology and have proudly been a licensed captain for over two decades. Fishing is truly in my veins. I was raised in a family passionate about angling — my dad was a top contender in B.A.S.S., and I spent my childhood learning at his side, out on the water. When I was just seven, he handed me my very first baitcasting rod and taught me how to handle it. From that moment, I joined him in numerous bass tournaments and eventually developed a love for saltwater fishing. Nowadays, I compete in professional redfish tournaments spanning from the scenic Texas coast to Louisiana, and I’ve taken part in bass competitions all across the country, including Florida. Although I’ve earned several top finishes, my most cherished memory is winning a tournament alongside my late wife, Shelley — a treasure I will always hold dear. My mission is to offer more than just a fishing trip — I aim to help you achieve your fishing ambitions, catch great fish, learn new skills, and most importantly, enjoy plenty of laughs and fun on the water. Thanks so much for your interest, and I’m excited about the possibility of fishing together. Wishing blessings to all.

Went with Jay on Jan 19, 2026. He was very friendly and clear about what to expect. We managed to catch our limit of black drum. The redfish were a bit more elusive that day. Overall, it was a wonderful day and a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend booking a trip with Jay!
