About Your Guide

Captain Scott is dedicated to discovering plentiful fish, especially the larger ones. He holds a strong belief in maintaining the sanctity of fishing, which to him means ensuring his boat and gear are always in excellent shape. His enthusiasm for fishing goes beyond personal enjoyment; he actively shares his expertise through guided excursions, informative videos, workshops, and direct interaction. During the colder seasons, Scott enjoys duck hunting and appreciates a good combination of fishing and shooting. Your guide is adaptable and can accommodate various starting points. We had an excellent day fishing with Captain Scott. He took the time to teach us how to detect bites and successfully guided us to plenty of fish. Overall, it was a fantastic trip, with Scott providing great fishing spots and leaving the rest to us. Much appreciated!

This adventure is ideal for hunters and anglers eager to experience the best of South Texas in one trip! With this cast-and-blast package, you’ll spend your mornings hunting and your afternoons fishing—without overspending. Your guide, Scott, brings years of expertise in hunting and fishing along the South Texas coast. He’ll lead you straight to the best opportunities for waterfowl and Redfish. Beyond guiding, Scott boasts an impressive background as an offshore billfish expert and a former pro bull rider.

South Texas sits right in the heart of the Central Flyway, making it a prime location for wingshooting. Each year, the region’s protected bays attract hundreds of thousands of ducks, including species like Green-Winged and Blue-Winged Teals, Cinnamon Teals, Wigeons, Redheads, Pintails, Gadwalls, and Mottled Ducks. All these birds provide exciting hunts and are prized for their flavor.

Scott equips you with a boat, blinds, and trained dogs—so all you need to bring are your camouflage gear, firearms, and ammunition. Hunts begin before dawn and wrap up around 11 a.m., leaving you plenty of time to make it home for lunch. This trip is perfect for large groups, so bring your friends along for an unforgettable experience!

On the fishing side, the bays and inshore waters near Rockport are renowned for excellent Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and other species. You’ll fish from Scott’s 23-foot Haynie center console, a top choice for inshore and nearshore fishing. Captain Scott will ensure you have the finest tackle suited to your target fish and will assist you in landing that personal best or filling your cooler—or both.
