My passion for saltwater fishing began in Cocodrie, LA, where I spent my childhood exploring local waters. At 11 years old, I started visiting Destin during the summer of 1991. After finishing high school in 1998, I made the move to Destin permanent. In 1999, I earned my first captain’s license—a 100-ton Master—working aboard the Sea Blaster in Destin, FL. Two years later, I invested in a 40-passenger vessel to offer snorkeling trips and dolphin-watching tours along the beautiful Emerald Coast. Following a challenging hurricane season in 2005, I made the decision to donate that boat to the Destin Fishing and History Museum; visitors can still see the wheelhouse displayed at the museum’s entrance.
By 2008, our business was officially launched with a single bay boat. Since then, we’ve expanded our fleet to four boats, catering to inshore, offshore, and bay fishing adventures for our guests. Our 52-foot Hatteras Sportfisher holds federal offshore fishing permits, allowing us to fish in federal waters where fish populations face less pressure. For quick access to prime fishing spots, our 31-foot Cape Horn, equipped with twin 350hp engines, gets you there fast. The journey began with a 30-foot Parker center console powered by twin 200-horsepower engines—special thanks to Kaley for the support!

You can cancel without any fees if you do so at least 14 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be refunded as a credit to your account. If you cancel within 14 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.

Your adventure begins at the docks of Harborwalk Village in Destin, where you’ll be greeted by your captain or one of our team members. If your charter departs at 6am (7am during Spring and Fall), that’s when your boat will leave the dock and start the journey.
The trip starts with a scenic cruise through Destin Harbor, leading out into Destin Pass. Once at the end of the pass, we’ll spend approximately 30 minutes catching live bait to ensure a successful fishing experience. After securing enough bait, we head out into the Gulf of Mexico to pursue either reef or pelagic fish, depending on the day's conditions. We may stay in one spot or move around to find the best catches.
Expect excellent bottom fishing opportunities for species such as Red Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, White Snapper, Triggerfish, Groupers, and Amberjack—these can be kept if in season. For those interested in trolling, you might catch pelagic species like King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, or Bonito Tuna. Shark fishing is also an exciting option on this charter!
After a rewarding day on the water, we’ll make the roughly two-hour return trip to the harbor. Use this time to relax, enjoy a cold beverage, and take in the surroundings as you head back.
Once docked, the captain and crew will promptly clean your catch so you can take it home with ease. Alternatively, you can bring your fresh fish to many of the nearby Harbor restaurants, where they’ll prepare it as part of their menu offerings—an unbeatable way to end your day out at sea!
