Are you ready to take on a fish that will challenge your strength, endurance, and angling expertise? If so, the “Silver King” is the perfect catch for you.

These magnificent Tarpon are among the most prized game fish worldwide, and Boca Grande—known as "The Tarpon Capital of The World"—is an exceptional spot to reel them in. Tarpon are migratory, and during late spring and summer, they are abundant around Englewood Beach. This giant species travels up and down the coast, frequently stopping to feed at Boca Grande Pass. As the largest natural inlet on the Gulf of Mexico, Boca Grande Pass can hold tens of thousands of Tarpon on any given day—all actively feeding! While they can be found in various locations, from backcountry lagoons to beachfront areas, Captain Tim will expertly guide you to the most fruitful fishing grounds.

Tarpon are known for their spectacular aerial acrobatics, putting on an incredible show when hooked. Whether you prefer using a rod and reel or fly fishing, these powerful fish, sometimes weighing over 100 pounds, provide an intense fight. Factors like tides, weather conditions, and moon phases greatly influence Tarpon behavior, but these majestic creatures are always eager to bite, attacking both live and artificial lures. Don’t forget your camera—hooking a Tarpon is a breathtaking experience you’ll want to document. These captivating sport fish are released after being caught, ensuring their preservation. Just one encounter with these ancient giants will leave you enchanted and eager for more!
