Starting out as a commercial fisherman in the Northeast, he slowly shifted his focus to guiding charters and relocated to Florida three years ago. Today, Captain Tim works full-time as a fishing guide, specializing in Tarpon fishing around Port Charlotte. However, he’s eager to help you catch any fish that are biting in the area! Over his 40 years of experience, his biggest Tarpon catch weighed an impressive 200 lbs! You can cancel without any charges up to 3 days prior to your trip and get a credit added to your account. If you cancel within the 3 days leading up to the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or if you fail to show up will result in the full trip amount being charged to your payment method.

Experience fishing in the inshore waters around Englewood with Captain Tim, where you'll navigate through the inlets, back bays, and beachfront surf spanning from Manasota Key and Don Pedro Key down to Cayo Costa on occasion. These rich waters are teeming with large Snook, Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead, and a variety of Snapper. During late spring and summer, Tarpon also make their presence known, and when they do, we highly suggest trying your hand at Tarpon fishing for an unforgettable experience.
There’s a unique thrill in stalking fish along mangrove islands, drifting through shallow water bays, pitching live baits into structure, or drifting baits through passes. Captain Tim predominantly uses live bait paired with spinning reels, a method that has consistently proven successful in landing fish.
Captain Tim’s Charters provide everything you need onboard—rods, reels, ice, and water—so you only have to bring your favorite snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and a camera to capture the memories. The boat is licensed for 6 passengers but accommodates only 4 fishing lines at a time. Pricing is based on 4 anglers, with an additional $20 charge per person for passengers five and six. Thank you!
