Captain Chris developed his love for fishing around the age of 8, learning the ropes alongside his father in the renowned Mosquito Lagoon. From an early age, he was deeply fascinated by the sport and the delicate ecosystem that supports it. Growing up near the edges of Mosquito Lagoon offered him countless opportunities to observe evolving fishing patterns and trends firsthand. After gaining extensive experience competing in tournaments and working as a first mate on several charter boats, Captain Chris decided to turn his lifelong passion into a career. He pursued formal training and earned his O.U.P.V N.C. 6 Pack Captain’s License, which allows him to guide enthusiastic anglers and nature lovers from across the globe to explore the unique local fishery. Additionally, he proudly represents Temple Fork Outfitters as a member of their Pro Team.
Captain Chris runs all of his fishing excursions from an 18-foot Panga Marine skiff. This versatile boat is well-suited for coastal trips targeting species like Cobia and Tarpon in the summer, as well as for chasing tailing redfish out on the flats. The skiff is designed to handle choppy waters smoothly, providing a comfortable ride for groups of up to three clients. Flexibility with departure points is another advantage he offers to enhance your experience on the water.
Clients have praised Christian for his excellent communication and accommodating attitude, noting how he checks in after booking to accommodate special requests. On a recent shark fishing trip, despite the sharks being elusive that day, Christian’s persistence was evident as he experimented with various spots, baits, and techniques to try to get bites. Even without any shark catches, clients expressed their intention to book with him again on future visits.
Another testimonial highlights a busy weekend during red snapper season, yet Captain Brad quickly got the group out on productive waters, resulting in a successful day with a full catch limit. The positive experiences shared underline the professionalism and dedication of the captains, making them highly recommended guides for anyone eager to enjoy fishing adventures in the area.
