About Your Guide

With more years spent on the water than most have had breakfasts, Captain Jamie is the ultimate guide for anyone eager to land a trophy fish while enjoying every moment. Growing up exploring the mangroves of Marco Island chasing snook, tarpon, and redfish, he possesses deep-rooted knowledge of these waters and an uncanny instinct for finding fish hotspots. But Captain Jamie’s focus goes beyond just the catch—he’s all about crafting an unforgettable adventure. Expect a blend of sharp humor, entertaining stories, and a relaxed atmosphere that transforms each charter into a memorable journey. Whether you're new to fishing or a seasoned pro, he guarantees a trip filled with fun, learning, and memories you'll cherish long after the day is done.

When not guiding on the water, you might find him honing his famous blackened snapper recipe or dreaming about upgrading to the latest Van Staal reel. Looking for an exciting, productive fishing excursion? Captain Jamie is the perfect choice.

Had a fantastic outing with Captain Thomas! I brought along my 6-year-old son, and we both had a wonderful experience. Captain Jamie was engaging, hands-on, and extremely knowledgeable—I highly recommend this trip. It was our first time fishing the backwaters of Marco Island, and Captain Adventures along with Captain Jamie made everything simple and fun. This is a great recommendation for anyone interested in fishing around Marco Island.

What a great time! Jamie is a fantastic guide. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with him.

Dominic was our captain and the experience was wonderful—we caught numerous fish species and had a blast. I have limited mobility, and Dominic went above and beyond, spending extra time helping my brother find a wheelchair and assisting me back to the dock. That kind of dedication shows true professionalism!

We also took a tour with Captain Thomas, which was outstanding. His knowledge about the fish and tides was impressive. We look forward to booking this charter again.

Our afternoon fishing trip was excellent. The guide was experienced and super friendly, making the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Captain Thomas accommodated us on short notice and made everything seamless. Had a fantastic time and will definitely book again when we return.

Morning in the backwaters is truly a special time — the tide is shifting, fish are actively feeding, and the day’s stresses haven’t yet set in. We’ll explore the intricate mangrove channels and shallow bays surrounding Marco Island, hunting snook, redfish, sea trout, jack crevalle, and any other species eager to challenge your drag. You'll be casting into narrow spots, skipping lures beneath branches, and quickly realizing why this is known as the game for thoughtful anglers. This is prime light-tackle fishing—ideal for early birds, beginners, seasoned pros, or anyone seeking a tranquil atmosphere punctuated by thrilling moments when a snook strikes unexpectedly. Don’t forget your hat, sunglasses, and a good sense of humor. I’ll provide the equipment, stories, and expertise to have you hooked up well before most people’ve finished their breakfast.
