With more time spent on the water than most have spent eating breakfast, Captain Jamie is the ultimate guide for anyone eager to land a big catch while having a fantastic time. Raised amidst the mangroves of Marco Island, he grew up pursuing snook, tarpon, and redfish, developing an impressive knowledge of the local waters and an instinct for where the fish tend to gather. However, Captain Jamie focuses not only on the fishing but also on creating an unforgettable experience. Expect a blend of sharp humor, captivating stories, and a relaxed atmosphere that transforms every trip into a memorable adventure. Whether you're new to fishing or a veteran angler, he guarantees your outing will be filled with laughter, learning, and stories you'll be proud to share long after the trip ends. When he’s off the boat, Jamie enjoys refining his secret blackened snapper recipe or dreaming about his next Van Staal reel upgrade. Looking for a fishing excursion that combines fun and success? Captain Jamie is the perfect choice. Our first backwater fishing experience in Marco Island was made effortless and enjoyable thanks to Captain Adventures and Captain Jamie. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in fishing around Marco Island. We had an incredible time! Jamie is truly a great guy and I wouldn’t hesitate to book a trip with him again.

Afternoons in the backwaters offer a unique charm: as the tide turns and the sun dips low, the fish become energized, ready to put on a show.
Exploring the mangrove fringes, oyster beds, and secluded creeks around Marco Island, we’ll cast both live bait and artificial lures targeting redfish, snook, trout, and jacks eager for an afternoon bite. The experience is relaxed and scenic, with just enough unpredictability to keep things exciting — much like your uncle after a couple of rum runners. Using light tackle on calm waters, you’ll enjoy plenty of action that quickly erases any thoughts of mundane plans.
Plus, the afternoon light is ideal for capturing photos of your catch that will impress your friends and maybe make your ex a bit envious. Afternoon trips are perfect for sleeping in, sipping a cold drink, and ending the day with memorable fish tales to share.
