Hello, I’m Captain Chad. Fishing has been a part of my life from the very beginning, inspired by my dad who competed and won numerous tournaments along the southeast coast. Being a Florida native, I’ve had the privilege of fishing these waters since I was young. I grew up participating in fishing tournaments with my father along the coast, and we often traveled to the Bahamas and Mexico for competitions. These experiences helped me master techniques like live bait and kite fishing, culminating in several victories in billfish and IGFA tournaments. I’m proud to say I’ve honed these skills to a professional level.
Right after finishing high school, I began my career as a professional fisherman. What started as a passion quickly turned into a way of life. While in college, I was offered a position on a charter boat operating out of Haulover. Starting as a deckhand, I climbed the ranks through hard work and dedication. At just 21, I earned my captain’s license, becoming the youngest captain to helm a charter boat out of Haulover.
For over 15 years, I’ve been based out of Haulover Park Marina, and I truly enjoy every moment on the water. Throughout my charter fishing tenure, I’ve had the fortune to catch some incredible giant fish, including enormous Wahoo, Blue Marlin, massive Mahi Mahi, and many others—all just a few miles offshore with stunning views of the Miami skyline.
Our trips are all about big catches, great numbers, and most importantly, loads of fun! Chad and Ryan put in tremendous effort to ensure we found fish early and often. Our catch included King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Tilefish, and a large Golden Amberjack. It was an unforgettable day filled with fantastic photos and unforgettable memories. You can cancel without any fees if you do so at least 7 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within a week of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in full payment being charged to your card.
Bring along snacks and beverages, suitable attire for the weather, sun protection (please note: spray sunscreen is not allowed), and a camera.
Fishing equipment such as rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided, along with ice, water, and a fishing license.
Captain Chad's dock is just a quick six-minute ride from the ocean, with most fishing spots located within two miles offshore. Thanks to Miami’s warm Gulf Stream waters, you can enjoy fishing year-round, targeting species like Sailfish, Wahoo, Dolphin, Kingfish, Tuna, Amberjack, Barracuda, and Sharks.
You’ll fish aboard a custom 43-foot vessel that underwent a complete renovation in 2004. Powered by brand new Cummins QSM11 engines delivering a combined 1300 horsepower, this boat is the fastest charter in the fleet, reducing travel time to prime fishing locations. The vessel is clean, spacious, and offers ample seating both on the bridge and down in the cockpit. It’s outfitted with a new custom Release fighting chair, Livewell, Fishbox, Radar, Sonar, and top-tier tackle, making it a true fishing powerhouse.
Captain Chad supplies all fishing gear, including Shimano reels paired with custom rods, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own equipment. The boat comes fully stocked with everything needed for a successful trip — just bring your favorite snacks, drinks, and sun protection for the day.
