Hello, I’m Captain Kyle, and I’ll be your personal guide and captain for the trips you book with us. I prefer to handle all customer interactions myself, so I don’t usually bring along a mate or co-captain unless you specifically request one. Years ago, when I first settled in Pine Island, I worked on a commercial Grouper fishing boat out of Fort Myers Beach. I spent many days at sea with Capt Jack, a trailblazer in the commercial fishing community there. We’d load his 40-foot trawler with ice, bait, and gear, and sometimes spend days out on the water. Our aim was always to bring in thousands of pounds of fish to sell at the market. Although commercial fishing was rewarding and filled with hard work, I cherish the memories from those early days.
Now with a family, long days at sea aren’t possible, but my passion for fishing hasn’t faded. I’ve always enjoyed seeing others experience the thrill of fishing, which made becoming a charter guide a natural fit. My background in commercial fishing has given me deep insight into the local waters and hidden fishing spots in the Gulf. Beyond this area, I’ve also spent considerable time fishing in destinations like the Bahamas, Key West, Venice Louisiana, Florida’s east coast, and the Dominican Republic. Over the years, I've hooked nearly every species found on any angler’s bucket list. These days, I’m focused on chasing bigger catches to challenge myself.
People often ask why I chose to become a charter guide. The truth is, I love sharing my fishing knowledge and, most importantly, I find great joy in witnessing the excitement when someone reels in a trophy fish. That moment is unforgettable and something you’ll treasure forever!
Your trip can start from a location that suits you best, as I’m flexible with meeting points. Whether you're looking for a fun and educational outing or just a fantastic fishing adventure, I’m here to make it happen. Many guests have said it was the highlight of their vacation, with unforgettable experiences they can’t wait to relive again!
You can cancel your booking without any fees up to 14 days before your scheduled trip and have the amount credited back to your account. Please remember to bring your personal belongings, sun protection, a raincoat, any necessary medications, and your own food and drinks.
Electric reels are available for rent at a modest fee. They are ideal for children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities who still want to reel in a trophy catch. For deep drop trips, electric reels are included free of charge.
Bottom fishing off Southwest Florida offers outstanding opportunities for anglers. The main challenge is the need for longer runs to reach the most productive fishing grounds. In my experience, the further offshore you venture, the more impressive the quality of the catch becomes. While you can expect to catch a good number of fish on any outing, the size and trophy potential of your catch will depend on how far you go. To maximize your chances of landing a trophy fish, carefully review the trip details and choose the one that best aligns with your goals.
This particular trip provides a great opportunity to catch and keep fish suitable for the dinner table. You can expect to reel in keeper-sized grouper without spending the entire day on the water. Typically, these trips yield enough fish for a satisfying fish fry. Target species for this excursion include Red Grouper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and Vermillion Snapper.
