About Your Guide

Greetings, I’m Captain Kyle, and I’ll be your personal guide and companion on the fishing adventures you choose with us. I prefer to handle everything directly with my guests, so I typically don’t bring along an additional mate or co-captain unless specifically requested. Years ago, when I settled in Pine Island, I spent time working aboard a commercial Grouper boat operating out of Fort Myers Beach. I had the privilege of fishing alongside Capt Jack, a true pioneer in the local commercial fishing industry. Our routine involved loading his 40-foot trawler with ice, bait, and fishing equipment before heading out—often for several days—to catch thousands of pounds of fish for the market.

Commercial fishing demanded a lot of hard work but also brought countless memorable experiences. Nowadays, with a family of my own, spending days continuously at sea isn’t feasible anymore. However, I’ve always enjoyed seeing others relish the thrill of fishing, so stepping into the role of a guide felt like a natural progression. Drawing from my commercial fishing background, I have accumulated extensive knowledge of the local waters and hidden fishing spots throughout the Gulf.

Beyond guiding, I spend my own free time pursuing fish in various top destinations including the Bahamas, Key West, Venice (Louisiana), Florida’s east coast, and the Dominican Republic. Over the years, I've hooked nearly every fish enthusiasts dream about, and now my personal challenge is to pursue even bigger catches. When people ask why I became a charter guide, I say it’s simply because I love sharing my passion and expertise about fishing.

The greatest reward for me is witnessing the excitement when someone lands a trophy fish—it's a moment that stays with them forever! Our trips are designed to be fun, informative, and exactly the experience you’re hoping for. Many guests say it’s the highlight of their vacation and always look forward to booking another trip!

This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime fishing adventure deep in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 150 miles offshore. Depending on conditions, we'll be fishing at depths ranging from 400 to 700 feet. Anglers will have access to electric reels, which are provided, with manual reels also available for those who prefer them.

While trolling may be an option during the trip, our main focus will be bottom fishing for a variety of species including snowy grouper, yellowedge grouper, tilefish, queen snapper, Warsaw grouper, and many others. For those interested in SPG-style fishing, we offer this option as well. You’re welcome to bring your own gear if you wish, though there is an additional fee for SPG tackle.

Due to the deep water conditions, this trip is limited to just four anglers, ensuring a safe and personalized experience for everyone on board.
