Our first experience gigging with Captain Leaf was fantastic! Participants ranged in age from 10 to 78 years old, and despite spotting fewer flounder than hoped, we had an incredible time gigging for fish and crabs. Booked a 10-hour offshore game fishing trip, but upon boarding and hearing Captain Matt excited about snapper fishing, I asked about the itinerary. I made it clear I wanted big game fishing, not snapper. The trip ended up focusing on snapper fishing with minimal live bait and little action on the larger fish I hoped for. Although Captain Matt enjoyed himself, this wasn’t the experience I anticipated based on my booking. I appreciate the effort but hoped for a different style of fishing.
