Our first gigging experience was fantastic! Participants ranged in age from 10 to 78 years old. Although we didn’t catch many flounders, the thrill of gigging fish and crabs made the day memorable. Both Captain Leaf and his son Cole were incredibly knowledgeable and easy-going, making everyone feel welcome and ensuring smooth communication. We’re already planning our next trip!

I booked an inshore fishing expedition with Leaf and Cole for my son and me, and it was a fantastic outing. The boat and gear were top-notch. Cole even secured plenty of live bait before we set off. On a 10-hour offshore game fishing trip, I overheard Captain Matt expressing excitement about catchting snapper. Confused, I asked why we were snapper fishing when I had booked a game fishing trip. Heather, the manager, kindly clarified the mix-up and assured me we would pursue big game fish, not snapper. However, when we reached a marked obstruction, Captain Matt set up specifically for snapper fishing and put out minimal shark bait. There was no live bait onboard aside from a couple of cast net throws. The few sharks we hooked were lost quickly due to inadequate gear for larger fish, although Captain Matt clearly enjoyed the snapper fishing. It was disappointing given what I had anticipated for the cost.
