Our first gigging adventure was a hit with everyone involved, from the youngest at 10 years old to the eldest at 78! While flounder sightings were scarce, we thoroughly enjoyed gigging for fish and crabs. A note about a recent offshore game fishing trip booked for 10 hours: There was some confusion as the captain was excited about snapper fishing, though the trip was intended for game fish. After clarifying with management, it was confirmed the trip was specifically for snapper, not the big game we expected. Live bait was limited; only two sharks were hooked but lost due to inadequate gear. While Captain Matt enjoyed the experience, it wasn't what we anticipated.
