Captain Ryan hails from a long line of Florida natives and fishermen, being a fourth-generation Floridian and third-generation angler rooted deeply in the Bradenton and Sarasota regions. His love for fishing began early, spending countless hours on the water with his father and grandfather, exploring Sarasota Bay, Anna Maria Island, and Lower Tampa Bay. By his teenage years, Ryan was out fishing whenever possible, investing his savings to join local captains, discovering every corner of Anna Maria Sound, and mastering the local waterways.
At 27, after securing several victories in local fishing tournaments, Ryan transformed his passion into a professional pursuit. Since receiving his USCG Captain’s License in 2008, he has been leading fishing charters full-time, earning a solid reputation for his dedication, extensive local expertise, and relentless effort to find the best fishing spots. In addition to charters, Captain Ryan also engages in commercial mullet fishing during the winter season and maintains strong connections with fellow captains from Sarasota to Tampa Bay, ensuring he stays updated on the latest fishing activity.
Captain Ryan is fully licensed, insured, and holds CPR certification as a registered EMT. Whether you’re new to fishing or an experienced angler, young or old, he is devoted to providing a safe, enjoyable, and informative experience on the water. Having grown up fishing these local waters, Captain Ryan is eager to share his knowledge and passion with you.
“Captain Ryan did a fantastic job as our guide. Our family caught plenty of fish, and he was both friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was very comfortable. Thank you!”
