Growing up fishing throughout South Florida ignited my love for the water and inspired me to pursue a career in the marine industry, where I earned my Captain's License. After buying a boat from a friend who introduced me to the competitive fishing scene, I began guiding part-time alongside him, gaining experience in a variety of South Florida fishing spots. Over time, I invested in upgrading my boat extensively—from installing a wireless trolling motor, new dashes, and a chart plotter, to outfitting it with a 2020 Yamaha SHO 250 engine, twin blade power poles, a foam floor deck, custom seats, and a fresh boat wrap. Thanks to these upgrades, the boat looks far younger than its years.
During my time working in a boatyard, I connected with a captain involved with Freedom Fighter Outdoors, a nonprofit dedicated to veterans. I dedicated my boat to this cause, helping to organize bass tournaments and take veterans fishing regularly. Sadly, the pandemic significantly affected the organization, and it has struggled to bounce back. However, I continue to support their mission in hopes of seeing them recover fully.
Since purchasing my boat, I’ve become active in several bass clubs, competing in monthly tournaments. Early on, as a novice tournament angler, I faced challenges finding mentors, so I relied heavily on a few close friends and personal experience to improve. With dedication, I achieved several wins, including big fish awards and top-five finishes, and I remain committed to sharpening my skills with each competition.
Guiding has always been a rewarding experience for me, especially teaching others new fishing techniques and learning from clients with experience in other regions. Eventually, I chose to pursue guiding as a full-time career, turning my passion into my profession. You can cancel your reservation without any fees if done at least 14 days prior to your trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel less than 14 days before the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in a charge of the full trip cost to your payment method.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest you also bring sunglasses, sunscreen, suitable clothing for the weather, and any additional personal items you may want for the trip.
