About Your Guide

Captain Phil, a native of Southwest Florida, has been exploring and fishing the waters of Collier County for more than 25 years. As a licensed USCG Captain, he launched his fishing charter service in 1996. Whether you're a group of friends, a family, a beginner, or an experienced angler, Captain Phil provides thrilling offshore and backwater fishing trips tailored to all. He is flexible with departure points to accommodate your preferences.

Many guests have enjoyed memorable days on the water with Captain Phil. One angler remarked on catching a trophy fish, praising Phil’s deep knowledge of all the best fishing spots. A parent sharing the experience said their 16-year-old, who had limited fishing experience, received attentive guidance, making the trip truly enjoyable.

Captain Phil consistently goes the extra mile to ensure every outing is a success, earning high recommendations for future trips. Families appreciate how Captain Phil and his first mate make children feel welcome, such as securing the best spots for young anglers and helping them reel in notable catches.

During a four-hour trip, some praised the friendly and supportive crew as they landed large fish and even filleted fresh Cobia for a delicious meal. The dynamic duo of Captain Phil and First Mate Tim impressed guests with their catch techniques, including sourcing live bait directly from the Gulf before heading 12 miles offshore.

Phil’s expert guidance puts anglers right on the fish, with diverse species keeping the excitement high throughout the trip. The crew remains patient and attentive, catering to different skill levels while focusing on fun and rewarding fishing experiences. Many also enjoyed the lively playlists onboard.

Even when fishing success varies, customers recognize Captain Phil’s dedication and effort in creating positive experiences. Several guests plan to return specifically requesting his services due to his professionalism and engaging personality.

One note for visitors: avoid parking near docks designated for trailers only, as fines may apply despite insufficient signage.

In summary, Captain Phil offers prompt, knowledgeable, and enjoyable fishing adventures, highly praised by families and anglers alike. Whether you’re a seasoned fisherman or trying fishing for the first time, his trips promise great catches, fun, and unforgettable memories. If you're a saltwater angler eager to battle one of the ocean’s most iconic sportfish, this adventure with Captain Phil is tailored just for you!

Captain Phil is a seasoned pro when it comes to tracking down and landing massive Tarpon, Florida’s top inshore game fish. These magnificent creatures, often called the "Silver King," are renowned worldwide for their size, stunning appearance, and thrilling acrobatic fights. As apex predators in their shallow water realm, hooking a Tarpon promises an unforgettable fishing experience. Using light tackle methods, you'll target bites with both lure and bait presentations. Because Tarpon behavior shifts with the seasons, water conditions, and even lunar cycles, Captain Phil’s expert knowledge ensures you’re in the best hands to succeed.

Tarpon fishing demands patience and skill. When you connect with one, stay calm, listen carefully to Captain Phil’s guidance, and manage your line wisely—these powerful fish are infamous for snap-offs and dislodging hooks. With the right approach, you’re set to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Beyond Tarpon, this trip also offers opportunities to pursue giant Goliath Grouper, Hammerhead Sharks, Jack Crevalle, and a variety of other species. Just share your target preferences with Phil, and he’ll strive to put you on the fish you want.

Captain Phil supplies all necessary fishing equipment including rods, reels, tackle, and bait. Fishing licenses, drinking water, and ice are also provided. Although there is usually plenty of space in the boat’s coolers, you’re welcome to bring a small cooler for your personal refreshments.

During the warmer summer months, prepare for intense sun exposure by wearing long-sleeved shirts for protection. It’s also recommended to bring sunblock, polarized sunglasses, and a hat to shield yourself from the sun’s rays.

Footwear should be suitable for wet and slippery surfaces on the boat. Expect an exciting outing full of memorable moments—don’t forget to bring your favorite camera to capture every thrilling catch!
