Captain Mark has spent his entire life along the scenic and welcoming Mississippi Gulf Coast. From a young age, he developed a passion for hunting waterfowl and fishing in the unique brackish marshes and bayous of Mississippi and Louisiana. Many summer mornings, you could find him wade fishing or chasing various fish species. He dedicated 25 years of service to the Mississippi Army National Guard as a full-time technician, including two overseas tours in support of the Global War on Terror during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, retiring with the rank of sergeant first class (E-7).
With over four decades of combined hunting and fishing expertise, Captain Mark brings an impressive wealth of knowledge to the table. He once held the role of weighmaster for the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo, often recognized as the largest fishing rodeo worldwide, held each year near the 4th of July. Throughout his fishing career, he has participated in many local and out-of-state competitions, including professional Redfish tournaments such as the Louisiana Saltwater Series and the IFA Redfish Tour, earning multiple top 20, top 10, and top 5 placements, along with two first-place victories.

Even though we didn't catch a wide variety of fish on our trip, the experience on the water with him and his deckhand Tyler was definitely worth the investment. You can cancel your booking at no cost if done at least 14 days prior to your adventure and get your payment credited back to your account. If you cancel within 14 days before the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip price being charged to your card.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suitable for the weather, and any other personal items you may need during the trip.
