About Your Guide

Meet Captain Paul and his crew. I truly enjoy what I do! Serving as a full-time fishing guide allows me to fish alongside new friends and showcase this incredible location I proudly call home. I'm easygoing and absolutely thrilled to help people catch fish! Hearing a reel scream under pressure is one of my favorite sounds! Let's grab some rods, catch some fish, and create unforgettable memories together. Your guide can accommodate different starting points for your trip. The captain was very friendly and dedicated to helping us catch fish. Although the wind picked up during our time on the water, it didn't take away from the overall great experience. What an amazing outing! We had an absolute blast. Communication was top-notch, and everyone had a fantastic time. You guys were phenomenal! Already excited for the next adventure. Tarpon season will be here before we know it!

4-Hour Sunrise Tarpon Charter — Silver King Migration (Late April to Mid-August)

For the best chance at hooking tarpon, plan your trip at sunrise. Between late April and mid-August, massive schools of tarpon migrate along the Gulf’s beaches and bays. We launch early and target key beach lanes, passes, and travel routes. Our crew scans the water for rolling fish and visible schools, positioning the boat perfectly for an ideal cast.

How we target tarpon during dawn:

  • Sight-fishing & drifts: Using live crabs, threadfin, or pinfish on circle hooks to approach cruising schools and daisy chains.
  • Stealthy boat positioning: Employing long casts, accurate angles, and minimal noise to increase hook-up chances.
  • Catch, fight & release: Heavy-duty Shimano tackle paired with expert guidance, followed by a careful, quick release back into the water to ensure fish health.

Why the 4-hour sunrise charter is so effective:

  • Optimal low-light conditions: Calmer seas, reduced boat traffic, and more active fish during early morning hours.
  • Efficiency focused: Less time running and more time fishing in known productive lanes and passes.
  • Visual fishery advantages: Ability to watch tarpon roll, track their travel paths, and fish surface feeding activity.

Boat & Equipment:

Fish comfortably from our spacious 25-foot boat featuring shaded areas and cushioned seats, suitable for families and serious anglers alike. We provide premium Shimano gear, top-quality terminal tackle, and all necessary licenses for your group.

What to bring: Polarized sunglasses with amber or copper lenses (ideal for dawn), sun-protective clothing, non-spray sunscreen, snacks, drinks, and a camera to capture the experience.

Need more fishing time and options?

If you want extra hours to explore multiple lanes, move to new schools, or combine nearshore fishing, check out our 6-hour Tarpon Season charter. For the ultimate Silver King pursuit with full flexibility across zones and tides, choose our 8-hour full-day charter.

Book early, as peak migration weeks fill quickly. Sunrise bookings are in high demand during the tarpon migration season.
