About Your Guide

Captain Gary has been passionate about fishing and the outdoors his entire life. Raised around the stunning coastal waters near South Padre Island and Port Isabel, Texas, he developed a deep connection with this region early on. Holding a U.S. Coast Guard license, Captain Gary focuses on inshore saltwater fishing, expertly targeting species like trout, redfish, flounder, snook, and a wide range of local fish. He offers flexibility with your departure point to best suit your plans.

Our experience with Gary was unforgettable! We landed nine trout, and his patient, kind approach made a big difference for our autistic daughter. We chose him because he openly welcomed guests with disabilities, and he truly delivered on that promise. Along the way, we spotted dolphins, sea turtles, Bird Island, and even a mangrove warbler, all while the fish seemed to eagerly leap toward the boat. Captain Gary is clearly very knowledgeable and offers a fantastic tour of the Gulf waters. You’re sure to have a great time!

Thanks to Gary’s expertise, we managed to catch the fishing trifecta of redfish, trout, and flounder, plus several other species that we released back into the water. His skills as an instructor and guide are outstanding, making every moment memorable and educational.
