About Your Guide

Captain Rick has been a lifelong resident of Pensacola, bringing decades of local knowledge and expertise to every fishing adventure. Whether you're a seasoned angler or trying fishing for the first time, his deep understanding of the area's waters helps ensure you know exactly where and when the fish are biting. Beyond being an expert fisherman, Captain Rick is also a retired Deputy from the Pensacola Police Department, having served the community for 25 years.

Our primary goal is to offer a safe and enjoyable fishing experience while making sure everyone can reel in the catch comfortably and successfully. Captain Rick is fully USCG-certified, and all our vessels meet the highest Coast Guard standards and safety regulations. We cater to anglers of all skill levels—from beginners eager to learn, to professionals seeking a challenge.

Many guests have had unforgettable fishing excursions with Captain Rick and his crew. They appreciate his ability to find the best fishing spots and his friendly, professional approach. The deckhands, such as Jesse and Logan, are praised for their attentiveness and contribution to an excellent outing. When Red Snapper season arrives, you can count on Captain Jake to be out on the water targeting these prized fish. With a federal permit in hand, Captain Jake enjoys an exclusive advantage by starting the season a full week early, as federally permitted vessels are allowed to fish ahead of the general opener. This permit also grants him access to venture further offshore in pursuit of larger Red Snapper.

These tasty fighters are known for their vigorous head-shaking, making each catch an exciting challenge. Red Snapper typically weigh between 6 and 8 pounds, but some can reach impressive sizes of up to 20 pounds. Landing one requires dropping a line deep into strong currents, and with Captain Jake’s expertise, your chances of bringing home a load of these remarkable fish are significantly improved.

Captain Jake supplies everything needed for the trip, including rods, reels, tackle, lures, jigs, and fishing licenses. All you need to bring along are your food, drinks, a hat, and sunscreen. At the end of your adventure, Captain Jake will clean and fillet your catch, so be sure to have a cooler ready to transport your fresh haul home.
