Your Guide: Scotty C.

About Your Guide

Scotty, a lifelong resident of Washington State, has been exploring the rivers and streams throughout the region for over three decades. As a passionate angler, he has dedicated countless hours both professionally and for leisure to honing his fishing skills. Much of his experience comes from casting lines along Washington’s riverbanks, where he has successfully caught Salmon, Steelhead, and Sturgeon time and again.

Over time, Scotty’s focus has shifted from pursuing his own personal trophies—which are impressive to say the least—to sharing his love for the sport and the achievements he has gained with a diverse group of clients. He takes great joy in helping men, women, children, and committed outdoor enthusiasts experience the thrill of hooking their own memorable catch. Watching his clients celebrate each successful catch is what truly drives him today.

Scotty promises to prioritize your enjoyment above all and will work tirelessly to ensure your fishing adventures are both fun and rewarding. Few guides in the business match his dedication to your success on the water. Friendly, hardworking, and knowledgeable, Scotty consistently provides outstanding experiences that anglers keep coming back for. Many have described their trips with him as five-star outings and look forward to returning again soon.

Embark on an exciting Sturgeon fishing adventure with expert guide Scotty during the brief Columbia River season. This isn’t just any fishing outing — you’ll be pursuing one of North America’s largest freshwater fish. Known as “dinosaurs” of the water, Sturgeon are powerful fighters and a must-catch for any serious angler. Remember, the season is limited, so book your trip soon to reserve your spot!

Scotty’s intimate knowledge of the Columbia River and its tributaries ensures you’ll be fishing in prime locations. Depending on the target species, weather, and water conditions, you’ll be using a range of lures and bait. When a Sturgeon bites, prepare for an intense battle! These giants can reach lengths of six feet and weigh over 200 pounds. They are known for explosive runs that can strip line from your reel and their fierce attempts to throw the hook without ever leaving the water.

Don’t forget to bring your Washington State fishing license, along with rain gear, waterproof boots, and appropriate layered clothing as recommended by Scotty to stay comfortable throughout the day.
