Captain Jay’s fishing journey began in freshwater lakes and rivers along the East Coast during his youth. Over the last 15 years, he has spent the spring and summer months fishing the rich waters around Hatteras, North Carolina, while spending winters and early springs in Marathon, Florida. Before captaining his own vessel, he honed his skills as a mate on some of Hatteras’ finest boats. His dedication and love for fishing have earned him a reputation as one of the premier anglers in the Hatteras area.

You may cancel without charge up to 14 days prior to your scheduled trip and have the amount credited to your account. Cancelling less than 14 days before the trip will result in the loss of your deposit, which will be paid to the guide. If you cancel on the day of the trip or fail to show up, the full trip price will be charged to your card.
Please bring your own food and beverages. A fishing license, ice box, rods, reels, tackle, and a fighting chair are all provided.
Captain Jay offers exciting and rewarding fishing excursions in Marathon, FL, each year from December through March. During the rest of the year, he operates trips out of Hatteras, NC. On every trip, Captain Jay aims to target the species you prefer, tailoring your fishing experience to your desires.

The fishing gear is top-notch, featuring quality Penn and Shimano rods and reels. Safety is a priority with all required U.S. Coast Guard equipment onboard. The large cockpit accommodates six anglers comfortably, equipped with a fighting chair and two helm seats.
