From the moment I could hold a fishing rod, Lake Pontchartrain and its neighboring Bayous have been my fishing grounds. What started as a hobby became my profession when I spent the summer of 2019 learning under Captain Andy Jones. Captain Andy shared invaluable insights on chasing the elusive Kraken, advice I still follow closely during every trip. While the Kraken remains in slumber, we’ve honed our skills as seasoned Redfish and Trout anglers, discovering prime locations throughout Lake Pontchartrain, Catherine, and Borgne to fill our customers’ coolers with fresh catches.
Our guides offer flexibility with pick-up locations to suit your convenience. Mackie had us hooked up with fish as soon as we dropped anchor, displaying exceptional expertise as a guide. After putting several speckled trout in the boat, he skillfully relocated us to a spot where we landed an impressive 40-inch redfish. Without a doubt, we’ll be booking with him again—today’s outing created unforgettable memories and was the best charter experience we've ever had.
Communication with the captain beforehand was easy and reassuring, clearly showing his commitment to delivering a fantastic day on the water. The excitement was contagious when we reeled in a record-breaking red drum, an alligator gar, and a diverse mix of other species. We can’t wait to return!
Mackie’s deep knowledge of the lake, combined with his patience, made for an incredible experience. Within minutes of stopping, I caught a 20-inch redfish, and Eddie hooked another right at the front of the boat. Meanwhile, Kenny was battling a 28-inch fish nearby. The initial payment for this journey cannot be refunded unless the cancellation is due to weather conditions. Canceling on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the entire trip cost being charged to your card.
All rods, reels, and tackle are provided. However, we suggest bringing along sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suitable for the weather, and any personal gear you prefer to use during the trip.
