From a young age, I was fortunate to embark on countless fishing trips from our camp on Lake Pontchartrain. Louisiana boasts an exceptional fishery, and over the years, I've discovered that sharing these experiences with others is truly rewarding! There’s nothing quite like seeing a young angler catch fish after fish or witnessing an experienced fisherman land their very first Redfish. After serving in the infantry in the early 2000s, I spent 15 years in sales, where I gained a deep appreciation for excellent customer service. For the past 7 years, I have been guiding full-time around the Rigolets area of Lake Pontchartrain. My current vessel is a 25-foot Bluewave bay boat, renowned for its cleanliness and spacious deck—two qualities that consistently earn praise from clients.
What distinguishes me from other guides is my independent approach: I don’t follow the crowd, depend on other fishermen’s tips, or rely on phone calls or radios to locate fish. I also steer clear of the popular fishing spots to offer a more unique and productive experience. Outside of guiding, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and two sons.

You can cancel at no cost if you do so at least 7 days prior to your trip and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within the 7-day window before your trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and paid to the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip fee being charged to your card.

Your adventure takes place on a sleek, brand new 2023 25-foot Blue Wave bay boat. This spacious and comfortable vessel is outfitted with state-of-the-art electronics designed to enhance your fishing experience. Whether you’re chasing Redfish in the shallow waters or heading out into open water for Speckled Trout, this boat provides the perfect platform.
After a successful morning on the water, Captain Drake will clean and package your catch according to your preferences. You’ll also receive plenty of ice at no extra cost to keep your fillets fresh for the trip home. Children aged 4 and up are invited to join the fun, with life vests available in all sizes. Bottled water is provided on board, but feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to stay energized. Live bait is available when necessary for an additional fee ranging from $10 to $25 per person.
