This was our second outing with this crew—first in Cancun, and now here in Puerto Vallarta—with children joining both times. The trip exceeded all of our expectations, beginning with the kids successfully catching several baitfish. We then had the incredible fortune of witnessing a magnificent display by a mother Humpback Whale and her calf just 40 yards away. We provide all rods, reels, and tackle for your convenience. (Please bring your own food and drinks.) Additionally, we suggest packing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any personal gear you wish to use during the trip.
Join Captain Scooby and his crew aboard a fully outfitted 28’ Super Panga for a fishing excursion lasting between 4 to 11 hours in the stunning waters of Banderas Bay. Powered by twin outboards, this boat is equipped to pursue fish both close to shore within Banderas Bay and further out to sea when the fishing conditions are prime.
During an 8-hour trip, anglers can aim to catch species such as Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Jack Crevalle, Roosterfish, and more. For a longer offshore experience of 10 hours, the focus shifts to targeting Giant Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Wahoo, and Sailfish. Captain Scooby and his team accommodate all skill levels and will customize the trip based on your preferences, utilizing both bottom fishing and trolling techniques to maximize your chances of a good catch. All necessary rods, reels, tackle, and live bait are provided.
The Super Panga comfortably accommodates up to 4 anglers and features a shaded area for comfort, a Bluetooth sound system to play your favorite tunes, a live bait well, and even an onboard restroom—an uncommon convenience for a vessel of this size.
This outing is suitable for children and ideal for groups. Feel free to bring along snacks, beverages, and a few beers (please avoid glass containers). At the conclusion of your trip, Captain Scooby’s team will clean and fillet your catch, preparing it for your table.
