Our charter was born from our experience participating in numerous fishing events aimed at giving underprivileged children a rare chance to experience life on the water. We also took part in events where passionate anglers, without access to boats, could enjoy fishing, as well as competitive tournaments across nine lakes in Central Texas. Witnessing the joy a simple tug on the line could bring inspired us to create opportunities for others to experience that same thrill.

Recently, my son and I had the pleasure of going on a guided fishing trip with Derek, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Although we initially planned to fish on Lake Austin, Derek suggested switching to Lake Travis upon receiving some updates, a decision that proved to be excellent. His deep understanding of the lake and patient guidance for us beginners made the trip incredibly enjoyable, not to mention he’s just a great person to be around.
Despite challenging weather conditions and less active fish, we explored a variety of locations, and everyone on board caught something. We even came close to landing a massive 25-pound catfish that would have been a personal record! Overall, it was an outstanding day out with an outstanding guide.
The initial payment for this journey cannot be refunded unless the trip is canceled due to weather conditions. If you cancel on the day of the trip or fail to show up, the entire remaining cost will be charged to your card.

Primarily, this suburban river stretch hosts Largemouth Bass, though Derek occasionally targets Stripers as well. Using light tackle gear, he expertly fishes with a range of bass soft plastics and hard baits, catering to whatever style you prefer.
Derek offers half-day fishing trips for up to two guests aboard his 18-foot bass boat, designed to meet all your fishing needs on Lake Travis. Equipped with a powerful 115 Yamaha engine, the boat smoothly cruises across the lake, guided skillfully by Derek to his favorite fishing spots where the bass are biting.
All fishing equipment—including rods, reels, artificial lures, and light tackle—is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer. Don’t forget to pack your favorite snacks and drinks, and make sure to have your Texas fishing license ready. Get set for an unforgettable day of landing bass with Derek!
