Captain Nick hails from Rome, Georgia, where he grew up and completed his education at Rome High School. He then moved to Atlanta and became a member of the Electrical Union. Over the course of a five-year apprenticeship, Nick followed in the footsteps of his family, becoming a third-generation electrician. His dedication and hard work propelled him rapidly through the ranks, eventually leading him into the realm of Electrical Construction Management. Yet, Nick felt a calling for something more fulfilling.
From a young age, Nick was captivated by the beauty of the Emerald Coast, a place he always felt drawn to. Realizing life was fleeting, he made the bold choice to pack up and drive six hours south to start anew. Once there, Nick earned his Captain’s license, purchased a boat, and made it his mission to share his love of fishing and the water with others. Today, he is a licensed US Coast Guard Captain, fully equipped with all the necessary permits to provide an unforgettable day on the water for you and your family.
His vessel is a 2004 Cape Horn 22 Bay series, powered by a Yamaha 225 Four Stroke engine. With Captain Nick, you have the option to fish both inshore among the bay’s flats and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. His goal is always to get you to the best fishing spots quickly, maximizing your time spent reeling in fish.
Inshore trips around Choctawhatchee Bay cover nearby waters and secluded backwater creeks. Here, anglers can expect to catch species such as Redfish, Speckled Seatrout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, flounder, and more. Offshore excursions on the Gulf provide access to an impressive array of species including American Red Snapper, Amberjacks, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Triggerfish, Grouper, King Mackerel, Tuna, among others—all without having to travel far from shore.
