Captain Doug’s love for the water began during his childhood on Cape Cod. While still in high school, he gained hands-on experience working aboard various charter fishing vessels, learning from some of the finest anglers in the region. After completing captain training in 2016, Doug earned his 50-ton master’s license and launched his own charter fishing business. In 2020, he acquired his current boat, a 2010 26-foot Sailfish center console, and upgraded it in 2023 with twin 175 horsepower Suzuki engines for enhanced performance.
In the spring, Captain Doug focuses on catching winter flounder, black seabass, and striped bass. Summer fishing trips still target striped bass but also include summer flounder (fluke) and bluefin tuna. As the season shifts to fall, his main pursuit is bluefin tuna. Once your booking is confirmed, Doug will reach out to finalize the arrangements and again shortly before your trip to discuss meeting points, necessary gear, and what to expect on your adventure. He is happy to accommodate flexible departure locations to suit your needs.
Many guests have enjoyed memorable fishing outings with Captain Doug, praising not only the plentiful catch but also the overall experience. Families and anglers alike have expressed their eagerness to book future trips with him. The team behind the experiences is known for their excellent communication and responsive service, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable booking process.
