Captain Doug's love for the water began during his childhood on Cape Cod. Throughout high school, he gained hands-on experience working aboard a variety of charter fishing boats, learning from some of the top professionals in the field. In 2016, he attended captain school and earned his 50-ton master captain license, paving the way for him to launch his own charter service. By 2020, Doug acquired his current vessel—a 2010 26-foot Sailfish center console—and in 2023, he upgraded its power with twin 175hp Suzuki engines.
Seasonally, Captain Doug adapts his fishing targets: springtime brings pursuits of winter flounder, black sea bass, and striped bass. Summer continues with striped bass, while also including summer flounder (fluke) and bluefin tuna. In the fall, his primary focus shifts to bluefin tuna.
Once your trip is reserved, Captain Doug will reach out to confirm your booking and again a few days before your departure to discuss final arrangements like meeting locations, what to bring, and what to expect during your outing. He is also accommodating regarding flexible start points to enhance your experience.
Those who have chartered with Captain Doug often share glowing reviews, highlighting memorable family vacations filled with successful fishing and lasting memories. Many express eagerness to book future trips with him, appreciating the attentive and responsive support from the entire Captain Experiences team.

Prepare for a full day on the water with us! We supply all the necessary gear, bait, tackle, and safety equipment. All you need to bring are weather-appropriate clothes and any food or drinks you'd like for the day. Since tuna fishing can be risky, we kindly ask that you limit alcohol consumption until the fishing is finished. Please stick to beer only—no hard liquor or glass bottles allowed.
Experience the thrill of battling the North Atlantic's most powerful fish: the bluefin tuna. We have helped numerous anglers fulfill their dream of catching this iconic species. Our fishing trips last between 8 to 10 hours, depending on the location and sea conditions. Anglers enjoy a variety of techniques, including live bait fishing, trolling, casting artificial lures, and vertical jigging. To ensure a personalized experience, trips are limited to a maximum of four passengers. Please note that regulations can change yearly; under federal law, any bluefin tuna kept that measures over 73 inches must be sold by the boat’s captain.
