Captain Justin and his first mate Barry are lifelong island residents, with families who have been fishing these local waters for eight generations. Before teaming up professionally, they both gained hands-on experience fishing from a modest 12-foot aluminum boat, heading out into the Gulf on numerous occasions. As teenagers, they worked as deckhands on charter boats, learning the ropes until they eventually owned their own vessels. Their deep-rooted knowledge of the area’s waters and prime fishing locations is unmatched. Together, they formed a dynamic duo and were among the top performers in the charter boat scene for many years. Even now, when time permits, they continue to fish these waters and are proud to be raising rodeo and tournament fishing champions themselves. The next generation of islanders is following in their footsteps, growing up with a passion for fishing just like Barry and Justin. Dauphin Island is close to their hearts, and they are eager to share their expertise and introduce visitors to this incredible fishing destination.
